Booklist for Kids Navigating Grief

Explaining and sharing grief with children is so complicated. Especially if it’s an immediate family member or maybe one of their own close friends.

What do you say? Do you even know what you believe? Have you tapped into that? Have you talked about it ahead of needing to talk about it?

It’s just complicated. No matter how you slice it.

And, even though we do keep Brady and Levi present in our conversations with Kyla, we still have yet to delve into where they actually are and what happened to them. So, We’re really started to intentionally read stories that deal with love, distance and heaven with the intention of referring back to them when we discuss Brady and Levi.

So, I thought I would round up a few of my recommendations in the event you are needing a reference for your kids.

  1. Wherever you go, my love will find you - Nancy Tillman

  2. The Invisible String - Patrice Karst

  3. Just Incase You Ever Wonder - Max Lucado

  4. Till We Meet Again - Julie Muller

  5. A Hug from Heaven - Anna Whiston-Donaldson
